Best hotel I've ever stayed. Not flashy or upscale, but what they do, they do very well. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is amazing. Make your own waffles, eggs and sausage made fresh, and fruit or cereal options. The beach access and pool are amazing bonuses. Would absolutely vacation here again!

Our first room had a heavy pet odor in the carpet and they happily allowed me to change rooms. The new room was actually a pet friendly room, but it did not smell like pet at all. Very close to the beach and one of the best breakfasts I’ve seen. Good for my family.

This is an older hotel but they have made many updates. I was pleasantly surprised and you cannot beat the location right on the beach. Staff was very friendly. Room service came daily unlike many other hotels. I will stay here again.

I have been staying here for years with my family. Great to see some familiar faces when we return. Please don't listen to any of the bad reviews and actually experience it yourself!!! The building is older but it is well kept. From the front-desk, breakfast, grounds keepers, The staff that work here are absolutely amazing, they make you feel like family, They do the best they can working outside in the elements. You can tell the management here really cares unlike other chains. Breakfast is great, yes it can get very crowded but it’s no biggie take your food back to your room if you don't like the crowed. I will definitely continue to stay here as my son lives nearby. This place is a gem!!!

Remember, this place is advertised as a 2 Star Hotel. With that in mind, it's a 5 star. 1) The staff was nice and knowledgeable. There was a hiccup on check in and they got it all taken care of quick and painlessly. 2) The location was pretty great. Right on the ocean with a nice pool area too. 3) Pet friendly with a nice big dog fenced dog run for, well, dog business. Remember that comment about it being a 2 star hotel? The ocean is hard on buildings and they could probably spend a zillion bucks renovating everything but the cost would go up. Let's say it's a well used hotel and there was nothing major wrong with the facility or the room I stayed in. Paint dings, paint flaking off the metal handrail a little (ocean spray is brutal!) and general wear and tear that one expects. Overall, for the cost and location, this is great option and a place I hope to stay at again in the future.

All the staff were nice and friendly. The location is a plus, very convenient. I love how the beach is literally steps away from the hotel, very private and very accessible. Breakfast is pretty good, they change it up a bit every morning, which is great! It’s been one of the best beach hotels that I have ever stayed. My overall experience was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back.

Bring your own soap. The soap provided isn’t very good. But that’s not a deal breaker. We got a room with a balcony of the beach. It was perfect. The room was nice. We brought a Roku stick for TV because we like more options. This hotel is perfect if visiting the base and easy access to tourist stuff. You will see ships everyday in the bay. We saw dolphins and other wildlife. We didn’t take advantage of the pool because we had the bay but the pool was kept clean. We watched the staff tend to it daily. The breakfast is typical continental breakfast. It was good and did the trick. We did order the room service once for dinner. The food was good once we got it. They delivered it to the wrong room thankfully they took it to the front desk and the front desk called each room till they found us. There is a pizza place that has their menu in the lobby. They will deliver to the room without a problem and they have a good variety. We will stay again if we make it back to Norfolk.

Ive stayed here many times. It had been a few years but it is still just as well. Good view, pet friendly, beach access!
